§ Mr. TylerTo ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many properties in England, Wales and Scotland have been listed as composite properties on the council tax valuation list in accordance with the valuation regulations in the categories of(a) shops and commercial premises, (b) public houses and other licensed premises, (c) dwellings used in agriculture and (d) others.
§ Mr. Nelson[holding answer 8 March 1993]: The information for England and Wales is not currently held centrally, and in order to compile it disproportionate costs would be incurred. Different regulations exist in Scotland to reflect legal differences. The oversight of these is the responsibility of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland.
§ Mr. TylerTo ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) how many domestic properties located on registered agricultural holdings in each of the valuation districts in England, Wales and Scotland have been listed as composite properties on the council tax valuation list in accordance with the valuation regulations;
(2) how many domestic properties located on registered agricultural holdings in England, Wales and Scotland have been listed as composite properties on the council tax valuation list in accordance with the valuation regulations; and what proportion this number represents of the total number of such holdings.
§ Mr. Nelson[holding answer 8 March 1993]: Neither the Valuation Office agency nor the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food keeps a register of agricultural holdings. In order to collect the information requested disproportionate costs would be incurred.
