§ Mr. OlnerTo ask the Secretary of State for Health what services are made available for parents and children suffering the effects of child abduction.
§ Mr. YeoThere is no separate requirement upon local authorities to provide services for parents and children suffering the effects of child abduction except in so far as these children fall within the definition of "children in need" as defined by section 17(10) of the Children Act 1989. In these circumstances local authorities are required to provide a range and level of services appropriate to the needs of the children and their parents identified within their area.
