§ Mr. CurryLimited grazing of sheep is allowed under the grazed fallow option of the five-year set-aside scheme. The Commission implementing regulations prohibit all agricultural production, including grazing, on land set aside under the arable area payments scheme.

§ Mr. CurryThe management rules for 1992–93 allow the application of non-residual herbicides by spot treatment or with a wick applicator on land set aside under the arable area payments scheme. It is also open to any grower to ask for a derogation to apply such herbicides by other methods where necessary. We intend to issue a consultation document on the management rules for future years very shortly.
