HC Deb 17 March 1993 vol 221 c275W
Dr. Godman

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what discussions he has held with the Scottish National party concerning the number of Scottish representatives in the United Kingdom delegation to the Committee of the Regions; what undertakings he has offered in relation to separate party political affiliation in its Scottish representation; what criteria he intends to employ in the selection of such representation; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Stewart

My right hon. Friend has listened with interest to the views expressed by the Opposition parties about Scotland's representation on the Committee of the Regions, including the question of how best to ensure that such representation reflects the diversity of Scottish political opinion.
