§ Mr. MacleanThe system of tree preservation legislation has proved its value over the years and remains extremely effective. It has been modified and strengthened from time to time and the Government are currently undertaking a formal review to see whether further progress can be made. My Department is continuing to study representations made in the light of the consultation stage of this review.
