§ Dr. MawhinneyFamily health services authorities are aware of their obligations in this area. They are able to provide to patients a list of alternative doctors in their area. Under the National Health Service General Medical Services Regulations 1992, family health services also have the power to assign a patient to a general practitioner should that patient experience problems in registering in the normal way.
