Mr. Milburn

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, pursuant to his answer of 24 February,Official Report, columns 593–94, if he will estimate the total tax forgone in each region in each year since 1988–89.

Available information is given in the table. Some regional estimates are based on small samples and all figures are given to the nearest £50 million.
