§ Miss WiddecombeA detailed and wide-ranging review of the legal framework within which occupational pension schemes operate is currently being carried out by an independent committee, the Pensions Law Review Committee. It would be inappropriate for the Government to pre-empt its findings. Decisions on whether any legislative changes are appropriate will be taken in the light of the committee's recommendations.
