§ Miss WiddecombeThe Department's Maxwell pensions unit and Sir John Cuckney continue to assist the liquidators and the pension scheme trustees in their attempts to restore assets to the schemes. Meanwhile, the trustees of the Maxwell Pensioners Trust announced last week that the trust would be making grants to pension schemes when the Government's emergency funding is exhausted to keep pensions in payment for a further period while asset recovery continues.
