§ Mr. McLoughlin[holding answer 10 March 1993]: The information currently available shows overpayments amounting to £3,366,550 and £8,820,016 were made to training and enterprise councils (TECs) in England in 1990–91 and 1991–92 respectively.
Of these overpayments, a total of £6,704,068 has been recovered to date. Forty-four TECs still hold overpayment moneys.
