§ Mr. Norris[holding answer 9 March 1993]In 1991, the latest year for which details are available, there were 195 reported discharges from ships into United Kingdom waters, which resulted in two successful prosecutions being brought. This excludes prosecutions brought by members of the now defunct British Ports Federation for which no figures are available.
