§ Mr. RedwoodThe chairman of the Docklands light railway yesterday announced the signing of a contract with Brown and Root Projects Ltd. to deliver improved performance and equipment reliability for the railway. The contractor will take responsibility for completing and commissioning the new extension to Beckton, for introducing new rolling stock and an advanced new signalling and control centre. The contract is based on specified levels of performance and system reliability which will provide direct benefits to the quality of service offered to the DLR's customers.
