HC Deb 12 March 1993 vol 220 cc773-4W
Sir Keith Speed

To ask the President of the Board of Trade what plans he has to seek to amend the Consumer Credit Act 1974; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Leigh

[holding answer 11 March 1993]In December my noble Friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Consumer Affairs and Small Finns asked the Director General of Fair Trading to review consumer credit legislation and the proposals for amending it. The proposals will be reconsidered in the light of the Director General's advice.
