To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how much was spent on official entertainment in his Department in 1991–92 and 1992–93 to date.

[holding answer 10 March 1993]: Total expenditure by my Department (including the Building Research Establishment Agency, the Planning Inspectorate Agency, the Buying Agency and the Queen Elizabeth II Agency) was £0.096 million in 1991–92 and is estimated to be £0.122 million in 1992–93.
