HC Deb 11 March 1993 vol 220 c680W
25. Mr. Fisher

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he next plans to meet the chairman of the Association of Chief Police Officers to discuss the problems of crime on inner-city estates.

Mr. Charles Wardle

Although my right hon. and learned Friend has no plans to meet the president of ACPO to discuss these particular matters at the moment, I am aware that chief officers of police have put additional resources into dealing with crime on many inner-city estates. This complements, of course, the significant work being undertaken by the government in preventing crime in these areas.
