§ Mr. VazTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will place in the Library copies of all circulars and other advice issued by his Department concerning the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 1981 and the acquired rights directive.
§ Mr. Kenneth Clarke[holding answer 8 March 1993]: We have issued no circulars nor general advice concerning the Transfer of Undertakings Regulations 1981 and the Acquired Rights Directive. We have given advice to managers on dealing with staff enquiries and a brief description of the effect of the regulations in introductory guidance for managers but this is internal management guidance which I do not intend to place in the Library.
