To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many juvenile offenders are in Scottish prisons at ages of(a) 14 years, (b) 15 years, (c) 16 years and (d) 17 years; and if he will make a statement.

The figures for 16 and 17-year-olds relate to prisons and young offender institutions but exclude those held on remand.
