To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what proposals he has to improve the quality of training in high technology in Wales.

A rigorous quality standard is applied to high technology training under employment training in Wales. A comprehensive quality system, based on the European quality award and developed by the department in collaboration with the Wales Quality Centre, is used by training and enterprise councils in contracting with their training providers.

Under the new training for work programme I expect all Welsh TECs to continue to offer quality training in high technology skills.
