§ Mr. HowardMy Department has answered 259 questions from the hon. Member for Ceredigion and Pembroke, North (Mr. Dafis) so far this session. I have no estimates of the cost to my Department of answering these questions as we do not routinely keep such records. However, I understand that the present guidelines suggest an advisory cost limit of £450 per question. My Department also does not keep records of how much paper and card are used in answering questions from hon. Members.
