§ Mr. FatchettTo ask the President of the Board of Trade if he will make a statement on the work of his advisory panel on deregulation.
§ Mr. Neil Hamilton[holding answer 8 March 1993]: The advisory panel on deregulation provides valuable advice to 501W Ministers, both in my Department and in others, and to the deregulation unit which reports to me, on Government requirements and regulations which may be burdensome to businesses both large and small. The panel is able to offer a business perspective on the management and prioritisation of work on deregulation. Members of the panel provide business views on deregulation issues, whether these arise from the implementation of domestic policies or from EC requirements or from the enforcement of regulations by local authorities and others.
