§ Mr. Heseltine[holding answer 5 March 1993]Percentage levels of the employer's contribution in these companies in the year prior to the privatisation of each were:
- British Telecommunications Staff Superannuation Scheme: 15.5 per cent. (FY 1983–1984).
- British Gas Corporation Pension Scheme (Industrial): 6 per cent. (FY 1986–1987).
- British Gas Staff Pension Scheme: 23.4 per cent. (FY 1986–1987).
- Electricity Supply Pension Scheme: 37 per cent. (FY 1989–1990).
