asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they intend to carry out further consultation pursuant to Section 58(7) of the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990 on conditional fee agreements, and if so when.

I am now considering the draft of an order under Section 58 of the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990 which specifies the proceedings in respect of which conditional fee agreements will be allowed, and which specifies also the maximum percentage by which fees may be increased. I intend to issue the draft order for consultation as soon as it is ready.
