§ Mr. Lang[holding answer 25 February 1993]: The sum of £20,000 has been made available to support the ecological steering group in this financial year, and adequate provision will be made for 1993–94. I expect that its work will largely be founded on investigations carried 362W out, or to be carried out, by other bodies, but if it should become clear that further funding is needed the Government will respond appropriately.
