§ Mr. StewartHealth boards and NHS trusts are allowed to retain the full receipts from the disposal of surplus property, to invest in developments which improve patient care within their area. Community based developments to replace any long-stay institution will be350W required before it is closed and will be funded from a number of sources including the normal health service capital programme and local authorities.
