To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many inspections have been undertaken in Wales(a) in total and (b) to waste incineration plants by Her Majesty's inspectorate of pollution during each of the last three years.

The inspectorate carried out 338 inspections in 1990–91, 657 in 1991–92 and 588, to date, in 1992–93. Of these, 13, 20 and 15, respectively, were undertaken at waste incineration plants.
