§ Mr. McLoughlinEstimates of employees in the extraction of mineral oil and natural gas industry are available from the census of employment. The most recent United Kingdom figure, from the September 1989 census is 43,000. Estimates for 1991 will be published in April 1993. The Department has no figures for people indirectly employed in any industry.
