HL Deb 01 March 1993 vol 543 cc31-2WA
The Countess of Mar

asked Her Majesty's Government:

When TEPP and SULPHOTEPP stabilisers were first introduced into the product formulation for sheep dips containing diazinols.

Earl Howe

A stabiliser to prevent the degradation of diazinon to compounds such as TEPP and SULPHOTEPP was first developed in 1956. (Swiss Priority Patent 348284 dated 30th November 1956 refers). Since then, all sheep dips containing diazinon and marketed in the UK have included stabilisers.
