§ Mr. KeyDestination signing reflects the relative importance of different destinations for traffic management purposes, taking account of distance; it is kept under review in the light of changing traffic patterns in any given area. New designs for the layout of signs, with a clear format relating closely to road status, have been developed following comprehensive corisultation and a subsequent trial. These signs will be incorporated in the new traffic signs regulations which I expect to lay before the House around the end of the year.
