§ Mr. BaldryWe have already announced the Government's intention to revise the planning guidelines on opencast coal. Following publication of the White Paper on the Government's coal review, we are proceeding as quickly as possible to public consultation. On 25 March, my right hon. and learned Friend the former Secretary of State issued interim planning guidance which will apply pending that revision.
