Spicer)Official 383W Report, column 330, what further papers and evidence on organophosphorous sheep dips have been received and considered by her Department and its advisory bodies; and what conclusions have been drawn.
§ Mrs. Gillian ShephardA number of representations on the question of organophosphorus sheep dips have been received. These include a report from Friends of the Earth, which is being sent to members of the independent Veterinary Products Committee for consideration as part of its current review of these sheep dip products. The committee has already indicated that it wishes to conclude the review at its October meeting on the basis of the further data currently being generated. I look forward to receiving its advice on the future licensing of these products, which I will wish to consider carefully before announcing my decision.
