Sir Rhodes Boyson

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will publish the total amount of revenue expenditure by local authorities in(a) England, (b) Greater London and (c) the south-east, excluding Greater London, for each year from 1982–83 to 1992–93, estimated.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what estimate has been made of the amount of transitional relief each authority will pay in 1993–94; and if he will express this figure as(a) a percentage of total provision for transitional relief and (b) an amount per council tax payer.
