§ Mr. RedwoodAdvice on the reclamation of mineral workings is given in the joint Department of the Environment/Welsh Office minerals planning guidance note 7 (MPG7). MPG7 refers to the derelict land grant scheme, administered by the Welsh Development Agency, which encourages the reclamation of derelict land to bring it back into beneficial use or to improve its appearance. The grant is available to private individuals and others.
