Member for Rochford (Dr. Clark) on 7 June,Official Report, columns 17–18, how many members the advisory group on scientific links with Japan and Pacific rim nations will have; what criteria he will use to choose the members of the advisory group; and if he will make it his policy to ensure the scientific implications of civil nuclear collaboration and co-operation is included on the agenda of the first meeting.
§ Mr. David DavisThe composition of the advisory group has not yet been decided. It will include representatives of industry, academia and Government who have extensive experience of scientific co-operation with this region. No agenda has yet been drawn up for the first meeting, but it will look at the whole range of science and technology relations, to identify areas where co-operation can be strengthened.
