§ Mr. MacleanOffences committed under the Football Offences Act 1991 are not notifiable. However, the football unit of the National Criminal Intelligence Service has advised that there were 76 arrests at Football League matches under section 3 of the Football Offences Act 1991, which came into force on 10 August 1991, for the 1991–92—August-May—season.
In England and Wales in 1991, there were six prosecutions under section 3 of the Act, five of which resulted in a conviction.
