To ask the Secretary of State for Health, pursuant to her answer of 7 June,Official Report, column 59, how many Project 2000 nurses were in training in 1990 and 1991.

Mr. Sackville

There were 3,000 Project 2000 nurses in training in September 1990 and 10,500 in September 1991.
