§ Mr. RedmondTo ask the Secretary of State for Health if she will list for each regional health authority, the number of district health authorities that received negative growth revenue for the financial year(a) 1992–93 and (b) 1993–94.
§ Mr. SackvilleRevenue allocations to district health authorities are the responsibility of regional health authorities and detailed information is not routinely collected centrally. Details of the main revenue allocations in respect of resident population have been collected in a consistent and comparable format for the first time for 1993–94 but these amounts do not represent the total revenue allocation per district.
I refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave the hon. Member for Barnsley, West and Peniston (Mr. Clapham) on 23 February at columns 546–47, for a list of the 24 districts which received less funding at constant prices for resident population in 1993–94 than in 1992–93.
