§ Mr. SackvilleIt is widely accepted among clinicians that antenatal ultrasound scanning is a valuable diagnostic facility. Studies undertaken on the cost effectiveness of ultrasound are reviewed in the publication "Effective Care in Pregnancy and Childbirth". The national perinatal and epidemiology unit is currently considering further work in this area.
