§ Mr. EggarThe monitoring of compliance with the conditions contained in offshore oil and gas licences is an integral part of the licence administration and technical support activities carried out by my Department, and monitoring is not separately costed. Other governmental bodies involved in monitoring particular aspects of the licence conditions include the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Scottish Office, the Health and Safety Executive, the Ministry of Defence, and the Department of Transport.
