To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the number of foreign nationals serving prison sentences in the United Kingdom who have been transferred to their country of origin to serve the remainder of their prison sentences in each of the last three years.

Responsibility for this matter has been delegated to the Director General of the Prison Service, who has been asked to arrange for a reply.

The Home Secretary has asked me, in the absence of the Director General from the office, to reply to your Question about the transfer of prisoners of foreign nationality to their country of origin.
