§ Mr. Simon HughesTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list all those organisations funded by him which give support and assistance to(a) victims of crime and (b) their families; and in each case state what funding from Government they have received in each of the last three financial years.
§ Mr. MacleanThe Home Office pays grant to the national charity Victim Support and helps to fund the criminal injuries compensation scheme. The Scottish Office separately funds Victim Support Scotland and contributes to Government funding of the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board. Victim Support provides emotional help and practical support to victims of crime and their families through a network of some 400 local schemes and branches. CICB awards compensation to victims of crime and, where the victim has died as a result of criminal injury, to dependants of the victim.
