§ Mr. BaldryA table showing the available information on total council house sales for each English local authority in the period April 1979 to December 1992 was placed in the Library recently. The table also shows sales as a percentage of housing stock.
By the end of 1992 four of the 14 local authorities in Kent had transferred most or all of their stock to a housing association—Sevenoaks ( March 1989), Swale (:March 1990), Tonbridge and Mailing (January 1991), Tunbridge Wells (January 1992). One further authority—Rochester upon Medway—transferred its stock to a private company in July 1990.
