§ Mr. GoodladWe share with China the joint objective of maintaining the stability and prosperity of Hong Kong. We are also seeking to improve relations across a broad front. As fellow members of the Security Council, we maintain a dialogue on international issues. We would like by increasing our trade to participate in the rapid growth of the Chinese economy. We regularly raise a number of other matters including human rights and Tibet with the Chinese Government.
