To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what plans he has to review the redundancy legislation.

Minor changes to the statutory notification and consultation procedures were made in the Trade Union Reform and Employment Rights Act. These provisions will come into force on 30 August. We have no plans to change the arrangements for statutory redundancy payments.
