§ Mr. EggarI understand that those expressing interest in pits which British Coal has offered for licensing to the private sector have been provided by British Coal with an initial information pack setting out a brief description of the colliery and detailed information on the licensing process. At the next stage, potential licensees who submit a bond are able to visit the pits, are provided with an information memorandum setting out detailed information about the colliery and have access to source documents in a data room. Much of this detailed information is commercially confidential. However, I am placing in the Library a list provided by British Coal of the contents of the information memoranda and data rooms, together with a copy of the initial information pack.
