§ Dr. GodmanTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) what is his latest estimate of the number of band D equivalents in each council tax band in(a) Strathclyde and (b) Scotland as a whole; and if he will make a statement;
what is his latest estimate of the total number in each council tax band in (a) Strathclyde and (b) Scotland as a whole of (i) dwellings, (ii) exempt dwellings, (iii) chargeable dwellings which are subject to a disabled reduction, (iv) chargeable dwellings which are entitled to a single discount for the purposes of council tax, (v) chargeable dwellings which are entitled to two discounts for the purposes of council tax and (vi) total equivalent number of dwellings after discount exemptions and disabled relief; and if he will make a statement;
(3) what is his latest estimate of the number of dwellings on the valuation list in (a) Strathclyde and (b) Scotland as a whole; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Stewart[holding answer 26 July 1993]: The available information is set out in the table. Updated estimates will be available in the autumn. These will give, for the first time, information, by band, on numbers of exempt dwellings, dwellings which are subject to disabled reduction, and dwellings receiving single discounts and two discounts.
