§ Miss WiddecombeThe Department currently contracts out a large proportion of its services and functions. To list them all would involve disproportionate cost. The application of the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 1981 depends upon the facts of each case. The regulations have not been treated as applying to any of the activities contracted out since November 1991.
