To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many households in temporary accommodation in Wales were living in(a) bed-and-breakfast accommodation, (b) hostels, including women's refuges, and (c) short-life housing in each year since 1987.

Information for the years 1987 to 1991 has been published in Table 7.9 of Welsh Housing Statistics No. 12 1992, a copy of which is in the Library of the House. On 31 December 1992 there were 248 households temporarily accommodated in bed and breakfast, 394 in hostels and women's refuges and 89 in short-life dwellings.
