§ Mr. HanleyMy right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Defence has had no such discussions. Officials have, however, discussed the incident with the United States authorities and the latter have now completed an investigation into the incident and have recently passed a copy of their report to us. A press statement has also been issued by the United States authorities. The marine accident investigation branch is now conducting an investigation of the incident.
