§ Mr. McAllionTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will list all those services or functions contracted out in his Department and agencies, since November 1991, in which the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 1981 were not applied.
§ Mr. GoodladSince November 1991, the diplomatic wing of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office has contracted out the adminstration of the diplomatic service world-wide all risks insurance scheme and some aspects of purchasing services for office supplies and machinery. In neither case were the regulations applied. The aid wing has not contracted out any activities during this period.
