asked Her Majesty's Government:
Whether, in the light of the statement in paragraph 4.11 of The Growth of Social Security that the factors behind the increase in the number of lone parents include 'changes . . . in the relative economic prospects of young men and women', they have formed any estimate of how changes in spending on lone parents might be affected by changes in the level of adult male unemployment.
